Happy New Year to YOU Our Customers, Friends, and Neighbors,
As we usher into a greatly anticipated New Year, I wanted to take a quick moment to reflect on the accomplishments, hard work, and dedication of our entire staff.
When The Chandler opened its doors in 2019, I would have never imagined a year like 2020 would ever come along. To say the past year was difficult, would be an enormous understatement. There were times throughout this past year I was quite convinced we would be closing our doors. But with the amazing effort and dedication from Tony, our Master Chandler, and Mallory, our Lead Chandler; we are still here, still open, and still able to serve our community. For that, I watery-eyed grateful for their passion.
The job of an entrepreneur is filled with excitement, passion, and energy. But a lot of the time, it’s a hard road of up’s and downs and more rejections than approvals. 2020 lead me to believe that the flame of our own candle could soon extinguish. But when I felt like giving up, my staff was there to say HECK NO, we are here to stay!
While we did not profit from 2020, we learned more in one year than any small business learns in five years. We have so many exciting programs coming in 2021; a new rewards program, a Customer Ambassador program, and the long waited wine bottle candles are just below the horizon, to name a few.
We are not only fighting for our lives, we are fighting for our community, for each other, and for our legacy that we will pass down of the story of resilience and passion. I love Grove City and am completely dedicated to this community. And while this fight is never guaranteed, we have every reason to be hopeful. The Chandler was built for moments like this. This fight will be our finest hour. Let’s win this together!
Love to all of you,
